RHS Town Hall on Racial Equity

In August 2020, Roosevelt High School partnered with LaJuana Johnson Leadership and Development Group to lead a school-wide racial equity assessment process. It included providing training to students and staff and gathering input from students, staff, and families. The objective of the assessment was to answer these questions:

  • To what extent is RHS a racially equitable and positive environment for all school community members?
  • To what extent is RHS a racially equitable and positive environment for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students, staff, and families?
  • What is needed, wanted, and envisioned for a racially equitable, safe, and positive environment at RHS?

On Monday, November 22nd 7PM Principal Q, RHS Administrative Staff, Teachers, and Students will host a Town Hall meeting to:

  • Review the results of the survey
  • Update the RHS family on the school’s current environment since the survey
  • Discuss RHS racial equity opportunities and future plans to address these opportunities
